Nigeria Produces 18.12 Million Barrels Of Crude, Condensate In 11 Months — NUPRC

Nigeria produced a combined 18.12 million barrels of crude oil and condensate between January and November 2025, according to data from the country’s upstream regulator.

Documents from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), titled “Crude Oil and Condensate Production 2025,” show that average daily output over the 11-month period stood at 1.64 million barrels per day. December figures were not yet available at the time of reporting.

Of the total production, crude oil accounted for 15.98 million barrels, while condensate contributed 2.14 million barrels, the data showed. Average daily crude production was 1.45 million barrels per day, with condensate output averaging about 190,000 barrels per day.

Monthly production figures released by the NUPRC indicate that combined crude and condensate output peaked at 1.73 million barrels per day in January and February, before easing to 1.59 million barrels per day in October and November.

Crude oil production alone ranged from 1.53 million barrels per day in January to 1.43 million barrels per day in November, reflecting fluctuations tied to operational and security conditions.

Nigeria’s crude oil production quota approved by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is 1.5 million barrels per day. In November, the country produced about 96% of that target, at 1.43 million barrels per day, according to the regulator.

The period under review coincided with the reopening of previously shut-in oil wells and relatively calmer conditions in the Niger Delta. However, output was intermittently affected by routine maintenance shutdowns and an explosion on the Escravos–Lagos Pipeline System, the NUPRC noted.
