Juliet Ukanwosu – Editor

A seasoned extractive sector journalist, Juliet began her journalism career over a decade ago and has spent about 85percent of that time consistently covering the extractives sector.

Her passion for extractive sector reporting has taken her globally where she has engaged with other journalists, experts and industry captains from around the world.

She stands out as an extractive sector journalist in Nigeria, going through the layers to access facts and information needed to tell the stories with which the industry can be held accountable. She rose to become the coordinator of the energy desk at Leadership Newspapers, (one of Nigeria’s leading national dailies) news editor for the Weekend title, and an associate member of the organisations Editorial Board.

A graduate of mass communication from Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria, Juliet is also a member of Media Initiative on Transparency in Extractive Industries (MITEI), a national network of extractive industries journalists collaborating to organise conversations, produce and disseminate in-depth media reports of developments in Nigeria’s extractive industries. As the Programme Officer of MITEI, Juliet has worked with other team members and industry stakeholders in promoting valid efforts to engender deep-rooted transparency and accountability in the extractive industries of Nigeria.

She has certificates in new media communications from the London College of Communication, University of Arts London and the London Academy of IT, both in London, UK. She is an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, member of the Global Alliance for public relations and communication management

 

Dr Mercy Makpor – Research/Data analysis

Dr Mercy Erhi Makpor is a Senior Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) consultant, and a researcher in the School of Economics and Management, University of Minho, Portugal. Her research area is in Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility with specificity to the supply chain mapping, third party relationships, stakeholder engagements, and effective CSR integration in the oil and gas sector.

Her other interest is in the area of Human development at micro and macro levels where she focuses on individual and institutional responses to social, economic and environmental issues.

She has had years of experience conducting research and working with professionals from some of the biggest research teams in Canada under the Teasdale-Corti Team Grant, and others from Europe under the European Commission.

She has lectured, chaired and made presentations at both national and international conferences, seminars and workshops on issues such as: Ethical conduct, CSR reporting, CSR – social, economic and environmental challenges as well as sustainable development. Her core competencies rest on analysis of qualitative data, project design and implementation, as well as in monitoring and evaluation of programmes.

She has a degree in Accounting from the University of Benin, Nigeria; a Master of Art in International Economy and Business from Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary and a Doctorate degree in Business Administration with specialization in Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility from the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal.

 

Adebowale Adeolu – IT/Web Management

Senior Full-Stack developer with Bachelor Degree (B.Tech) in Computer Science, extensive experience in building high-quality Mobile apps(iOS and Android) and websites (HTML5, CSS, Ruby on Rails, PHP, Python, WordPress).

Expert Frontend UI and UX, Nodejs, Javascript, Django, Reactjs, Angular JS, HTML5, CSS, Twitter Bootstrap, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop expert, WordPress Custom Plugins and themes developer.
