Civic Space And Energy Transition Deliberations In The Niger Delta

In this 8th edition of the Just Energy Transition (JET) half hour sponsored by Youths and Environmental Advocacy Centre (YEAC), the role a free civic space can play in just energy transition process in Nigeria and Bayelsa State particularly, was the subject of discussion.

Speaking on Royal FM, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state, Mr. Maxwell Ati, Executive Director, Synergycare Development Initiative (SDI), explained what can be done to facilitate the pathway towards just energy transition through free civic space.

While advising the government and community members on civic space and just energy transition, Mr. Ati spoke about how effective synergy between organizations in the civic space can result to developmental benefits for the people

The JET half hour is part of the project ‘From Exclusion to Inclusion in National Just Transition Plans, being implemented by YEAC in partnership with Spaces for Change and support from Africa Centre for Energy Policy.
