As Nigeria journey’s towards the transition to renewable energy sources, the legal framework in support of the country’s energy transition plans was critically examined in the second edition of Spaces for Change|S4C Just Energy Transition (JET) radio program.

Speaking on Ozisa FM radio Owerri, Imo State, Dr. M.N. Obasi, a lecturer at the Faculty of Law Imo State University Owerri, and Engr. Iheka Ndubusi, expertly discussed the legal framework in support of energy transition plan in Nigeria.

The topic was designed with a goal to educate people about the legislative framework governing Nigeria’s energy transition plans, whether or not they are sufficient, and to simplify the provisions and policy to provide people with a better grasp the overall strategy.

The JET radio program is implemented by Spaces for Change in Imo State as part of a project dubbed ‘From Exclusion to Inclusion in National Just Transition Plans,’ under the aegis of the Extractive Industry and Climate Change Governance Project, with support from the Ghana-based Africa Center for Energy Policy (ACEP).
