Just Energy Transition And The Nigerian Economy

Just Energy Transition in relation to the Nigerian economy was the subject of discussion in the maiden edition of Youth and Environmental Advocacy Centre’s (YEAC) Just Energy Transition (JET) half hour radio program.

The program which airs weekly on Royal FM, Yenagoa and Wave FM, Port Harcourt, is part of a project titled ‘From Exclusion to Inclusion in National Just Transition Plans,’ under the auspices of the Extractive Industry and Climate Change Governance Project,  being implemented by YEAC in Bayelsa and Rivers State state in partnership with Spaces for Change, with support from Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP).

Executive Director, YEAC-Nigeria, Fyneface Dumnamene, who spoke during the program on both radio stations, provided expert analysis on just transition in relation to Nigeria’s economy and whether or not just energy transition is possible in Nigeria.

He also spoke on how the country can transition from fossil fuel to clean energy and the role of stakeholders in making the transition a reality. Click on the recordings below to follow the conversation.
