The 53rd Board Meeting of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) will hold in Brussels from June 16-17.
The meeting, co-hosted by the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Commission, will take place at the Egmont Palace, with constituency and committee meetings taking place on 15 June.
Ahead of the 53rd EITI Board meeting, the meeting of Board members from the implementing countries constituency will take place on Wednesday 15 June from 09:00 to 15:30 CEST in Brussels.
According to a statement by the EITI Secretariat, the afternoon sessions from 13:00 to 15:30 CEST are open to observers from implementing countries.
Nigeria and 54 other countries currently implement the EITI principles, while the United States, Yemen, Solomon Islands, Equitorial Guinea and Azerbaijan previously implemented the EITI but have either withdrawn or were delisted.
